Q: Where can I stay?
A: Many people bring an RV of some sort onto the playa and boondock along the access road. The hotels of the Primm Resort are also an option if you want more amenities and do not mind the drive out the event site each day.
Q: What vehicles can I use on the Playa?
A: Vehicles with motors are only allowed on the access road down the east side of the playa. On the lake surface, aka playa, any wind or human powered vehicle is allowed and encouraged. Obviously we need to operate within our skills and share the space with any other users.
Q: What is there to do if I don’t buggy or landsail?
A: The first answer is to learn, most of us love to share and teach others our sport. Otherwise there are usually folks hanging around camp who love to chat and socialize. The organizers are always considering activities for non -flyers so field trips and activities may be coming soon.
Q: What if it rains?
A: We leave!! If rain is coming, admittedly a rarity in the desert spring, we will retreat with all of our vehicles to Primm to evaluate and analyse the situation.
Q: What if there is no wind?
A: Then we will sit around a tell stories about when there was wind while we wait for it to arrive. It is extremely rare for there to be a completely wind free day in eastern California.
